Ruby colour. Delicate aromas of ripe blackcurrant, chocolate and
some hints of tobacco and vanilla. Medium bodied with refined
tannins, balanced and fresh acidity and some dark fruit. Medium-long
finish. Modern and refined Nebbiolo based wine. Drinking well right
now, better with food.

Marziano Abbona is a big man of very few words and great integrity.
He doesn’t have to talk, his wines speak eloquently enough for
themselves and in many languages. His Nebbiolo is great value for
money, as it delivers all the hallmark characters and flavours of a
Barolo at a fraction of the price. So while you wait for his great
Barolos to mature, drink the Nebbiolo, which is flavourful and ripe,
but beautifully dry and long on flavour.
Abbona uses closed stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures.
He frequently pumps the juice over the musts in a brief but
energetic system of maceration which extracts more color from the
skins while leaching less tannins. He induces an early malolactic
fermentation to give the wine more suppleness, smoother texture and
greater fruit components.
